I am thankful that Christianity is not a performance based religion. God does not love me because of what I have done, what I can do, or what I will do. He loves me because of who He is, not who I am. On the days that I have done well and lead a life by grace that pleases Him he loves me no more than on the days that I fail him. This is the gospel of grace for all those he has drawn to himself. Thank you Jesus for saving me from my sins.
“How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue.
